Been a while since I've built. Looking to replace a computer I built in 07.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Photo editing, streaming, gaming (Civ 6, Fallout, Shadow of Modor)
2) What's your budget? Like to keep it under $1000
3) Which country do you live in? Kansas City
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? Case, CPU, PSU, Memory, Storage, Videocard, wouldn't mind a bluray player
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing?
Keyboard/Mouse Logitech G11/G500
Optical Drive: have an ATAPI iHAS120 and a Samsung SH-S223Q on hand
Storage: Was considering using the 2TB drive in the build as a backup for the system existing drive (3.5" hitachi deskstar 1TB)
6) Will you be overclocking? Not planning on it
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? Monitors: Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW (1680x1050), ASUS VS228HP (1080p)
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Next couple of months
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? Yes, Windows 10 64bit
 
that is exactly what I would suggest for the price range. BUT if youre not building for a couple months id wait, things might/should get cheaper....
 
Is that just because of the cryptocurrency mining thing? Does that affect all parts or really just the video card. I do have a GTX 750TI I could use in the meantime.
 
that and ram prices should hopefully come back down to normal.
 
If not OC'ing I'd definitely go with the 1600X for the extra speed. You would have to buy an aftermarket cooler, an Evo or Cybord so all in all maybe another $60 but in the end I think more than worth it. The R7's have been dropping in price constantly the last couple weeks so may see some on the R5's soon.
 
RAM prices will be a while (2018) before they normalize, if what I read about them is true. GPU prices are supposedly beginning to go lower, but the 1060 6 GB has not been nearly as affected as say the RX470 and RX480 GPUs, so they aren't as big a ripoff right now in the first place.

Your parts list looks pretty good. I would consider a R7 1700 as an alternative to the 1600X + a cooler. Then again, I would also recommend a mild overclock on either the 1600 or 1700 models; even on the stock fan it shouldn't be much an issue to clock them up a tiny bit to say 3.5 so they're more competitive with their X counterparts, but feel free to ignore me here since I'm definitely *not* a Ryzen brainiac.
