New Computer or Upgrade?

Hey everyone,
I have had my computer for a while now and im starting to think it is getting ancient. I currently am running an AMD XP 2500+ with an ABIT NF7-S MoBo, 2(256 MB Corsair PC-3500), and 2 WD 80 GB SE w/8 MB Hard drives and XP Home.

I game alot on my computer and I want to get the latest games out or coming out soon... (HL2). But i dont think my ATi Radeon 9600 pro can handle that kind of pressure.

I am looking to spend around 500 $ on this upgrade or save up and stick with this for a while longer and buy an entire new system. This is where i need your help. If i should pick the upgrade for around 500$ what should I upgrade first?

I would say get some more ram and then OC that 2500 if it's an option then hang on for a new vid card or a new mobo/proc combo

I'd reccomend just waiting and doing a complete system overhaul in a few months. Your system will play HL2 fairly decently as long as you don't demand high resolution and AA.
