New Computer No Video! HELP

Hey guys i just got my Cpu and i put it in and everything. I turn on my System and there is no Video going through. There is no beeping of any kind. And the Computer looks like its loading but im not getting any video at all Here are my Specs

Lian Li V2000 Black
A8N-SLI Deluxe
Amdx2 4400+
BFG 7800GTX
2 Maxtor 300 Gig 16mb
Sony DRU-710
1 GIG Corsair 3200 Xtream low lantancy
OCZ PowerStream™ 520 Watt Power Supply
Matrix Orbital dual bay screen
 
hook your speakers up and plug em in. Listen to the asus post reporter. my guess is RAM.
 
if it's not the ram, try buying a cheap PCI vidcard at walmart, to determine if it's ur card. return the walmart card when ur done finding out
 
Make sure Each of your RAM chips is in the blue slots, dont put both on one side, happened to me with an A8N board.
 
The screen keeps coming up with Check your Pc and signal cable.... This is pissing me off

edit: did you get power to both the video card and the mobo?
 
Do you know what BIOS you're running? I think you need 1011+ for dual core.
 
it shouldent matter it should use only one still i update it shouldent it? how would anyone get there setups up ?
 
Don't want to assume anything so I gotta ask how long ago you bought that motherboard and if it has a bios that at least supports revision E a64 cpu. Sounds like a problem I saw on another board where the guy bought his MB couple months ago and then panic sets in when his x2 won't boot or give video etc. etc.

Asus keeps huge stocks and even though you bought it this week it could be months old.
 
Do you still have a single core chip you can stick in and update the bios. Or, if you bought this some time ago in anticipation of buying your x2 and have never used it before then most likely it doiesn't have a bios that supports x2. A bios revision that supports revision E (venice, san diego) will allow the x2 to boot using only one core in order that you can update to an x2 capable bios.

Maybe some nice sole has a winnie or clawhammer you can stick in for a minute to get that bios.

Or you'll have to contact Asus and see how they are handling this.
 
I called Asus and they told me i have to send my Bios Chip in so they can Update it cause its not supporting my Cpu.... The gay thing is that i have to pay for shipping...

Im so sososososososo! pissed off right now i cant belive this is happening..

Also how the hell do i take it out?

Anyone in the West Palm Beach FL Area that maybe could help me out with a single core cpu???
 
Bummer.

If nobody can help you with a pre-revision E single core A64 removing the bios chip should be easy. Take a look. Some have a release clip like thingy that you push down or pull to the side to release the chip. If not it's a little scarier procedure done very carefully where you have to pry each side a little at a time to get it out (lol). Just be glad it's not soldered.

Hopefully you have some spare antistatic bags around from your install that you can use to ship it in.
