Hey guys, I need help building myself a new PC, my budget is $1500

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

Stupid question, but how high are you planning on overclocking your processor to?

A Core i7-based build is within your budget, but if you game more than you use Photoshop, you could go with the Core i5 instead.

I would like to try and put it around 4 Ghz and I game more than I photoshop

Hi, great looking build! I was wondering though, if I wanted to get a full tower and a non-stock CPU cooler, what would you recommend?
 
Cases are subjective, so go with what you like.

CPU Cooler: CM Hyper 212, CoGage True Spirit, TRUE120, Noctua H-U12P, Xigmatek HDT-S1283, etc.
 
Sorry for the necromancy but I'm getting ready to build the computer now.

I purchased and i7 920 from microcenter already and a cosmos 1000 case from the CM store (refurbished). I was wondering what motherboard to go with? I plan on using SLI/Crossfire.
 
The HD5850 is now out and outperforms the HD4890 for around $260. Also, the 500GB-platter drives are out now, too, so go for either the Samsung F3 or Seagate 7200.12 500GB or 1TB.

Get this PSU instead:
