Well crap. i just finished my new computer. windows xp installed fine, it ran for the first night. Then this morning i was using it and suddenly it went poof. Power went away. Now the power supply refuses to turn the computer on. It's hooked through a UPS. i've tried directly into the wall as well, no change. And it's a brand new PC Power and Cooling 510 SLI powersupply, lol i spent like 200+ on this baby. Christ.

Here's my specs.
MB DFI | nF4 SLI Infinity NF4SLI - Retail
VGA LEADTEK GF PX6200 TC-64-H RT - Retail (PCI EXPRESS)
PS PC PWR & CLG | 510 SLI-PFC RET - Retail
2 512mb stick of OCZ PC5000 EL
Creative Audigy 2 Sound Card

any help would be much appreciated. This computer was to replace the one that died on me.

Well... what can I say? Try another power supply and see of PCP&C will take back their old one. Sorry to hear :(

I was thinking that as well. I paid so much for this specific power supply because of it's amazing reviews all over the net, so i'm finding it hard to believe that the PS is the issue. I saw in the manual for the powersupply that it mentions the motherboard cable connector is what determines whether or not the power supply powers up or not. So i was thinking it might be possible that something with the motherboard is telling it to not power up?? Completely guessing here, anybody familar with DFI setups and PCpower and cooling power supplies?

I'm familiar with DFI boards & their bioses, look in power management section to see if somehow ur settings were changed? Highly doubtful this can happen.

As the poster Talonz said try a diff psu or maybe u could try that ps in another pc if u can before rma'ing it....
