my current rig:
Kingwin KT-436-wm mid-tower case
Athlon 64 3000+ (NewCastle) s754
1 GB Corsair XMS ddr-400
Gigabyte nforce 3 250 MB
ATI Radeon 9600
Maxtor 120GB HDD SATA
Maxtor 250GB HDD SATA
Creative sound blaster audigy 2
Viewsonic VX20205wm 20.1inch LCD
Ive been looking at:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ and overclock or the X2 5000+ because of the price drops
Evga Geforce 7600 gt ko or ATI x1600?? or x1800??
CORSAIR XMS2 1GB DDR2-800
ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition or Foxconn C51XEM2AA
I wanna go AM2 and the X2 route because of prices. The new conroe seems pretty intriguing (especially the E6600), but im not very familiar with intel systems. it is still a possibilty. Anyways im kinda confused on what to get (ATI or Nvidia graphics cards and chipsets) a board with either SLI or Crossfire for a possible upgrade in the future. I do a lot of music editing/recording, some gaming (COD2, FEAR, HL2), photoshop, etc. probably wont be purchasing this for awhile but i just want the best bang for my buck.
any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
