I didn't lose or gain any performance on my Radeon 9600 Pro.

I think I am going to put an x800 pro in my machine.

working great over here, but I gurantee that you'll be cpu limited, as am I.

Do you have the latest version of the Microsoft .NET architecture? You need to have version 1.1 for the CCC to work.

Of course. That driver error has nothing to do with the framenetwork bullshit. The CCC is just stupid. It works after I install it the first time. Everything is okay and I can play games, then I restart and it's broken. I've reinstalled it 3 times, removed drivers with drivercleaner 3 etc to no avail. Oh well. Time to wait for 4.11. Really lame I have to wait another month. ATI's drivers suck. Seems like they fix one major issue once a month. Nvidia has like 50 drivers a week.

I amend my previous post. CCC never came up - no matter since the games I play are app preference anyway.

I tried to access CCC right after my first post. Nothing came up - at all. Had to do some digging online, and then uninstalled .net 1.1 - only to put a beta version 2.0 on after some more futzing. Intalled .net 2.0 then re-installed CCC. Having trouble with disabling/enabling AI - it gives me a weirdo warning and crashing. Everything else is fine.

Can't see a hit in performance from 4.10 beta though, 3dMark (a [H] favorite, I know) is like less then three points off. I'll just geek out with my games for now, more over the week I'll poke around for the cause of this "bug"

Installed - ET and Q3 would continually hard lock my box. Reinstalled - same thing. Removed old sb live! - no go. Installed last version of cats - all good. *shrug*

I updated to the new drivers last night, I immediately noticed a problem with CCC telling me i didn't have a card installed, but I was tired, so after many reboots left it be.

After I started my PC up this morning I noticed that CCC is working, but when I look at the SMARTGART settings, it's set to 0x AGP with NO features enabled

Motherboard is an ASUS P4S800, the cheap kind, not the deluxe, but it still has 8x AGP and has never had problems before. Gfx Card is an unbranded ATi Radeon 9700Pro.

Anyone else having issues with this?

It's worth noting that the same day I upgraded my drivers my PC was flung forwards in my car about 20mph when I had to break suddenly, but it's my opinion that if the hard drives survived, the gfx and motherboard should be fine.

Anywho going to try reverting to the 4.9 catalysts now, this is a shame, i've never had problems with new catalysts in the past :(

Wish me luck

quake 3 crashes (hard locks bad, forced "soft off" reboot) for me within seconds..... roll back the driver and it works fine =/

t-readyroc is my bish v57! right travis?

wtf is this?

Also, I found that uninstalling drivers does not work; I HAD to roll back in order to fix issues with CS:S. How pathetic.

Q3 freezes for me too, but seems to only happen about 5 seconds into loading Q3DM17, and not every time, only on certain servers.

Very weird.

When that day comes, they better have all the bugs in CCC fixed, or i'll send my 9800 Pro (Ultimate Edition  )out the door, and get myself an Nvidia card...

Catalyst Control Center slowed everything down on my computer, as well as crashing it a couple of times. I figured I'd stick to the classic control panel.

I'm agreeing w/you on this one. The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking that my CS:S issues may be CCC-related. Everytime I login to my PC, the entire screen goes black for ~2seconds before I can actually move my mouse around, etc. Never happened before I installed the CCC-accompanied version of the Cats.

Sounds like I may just be waiting for the 4.11's.

These drivers corrected some rendering anomolies in Far Cry for me.

X800 Pro VIVO
1GB Ram
3200+ Athlon64 1mbL2Cache
ASUS K8V

bad...still sticking on 4.8s
the latest omega on the 4.11 betas are ok tho. slight increase in framerate on VST.

You can avoid most of these "problems" with CCC by electing not to install it. That's what I have done and now everything is A-Okay. Now I have .net 2.0 for no reason. Higher version numbers - makes me feel like I've accomplished something.

I'm reaching here, but I suspect CCC's issues are rooted in that silly AI thing - does anybody know what that does? Anyway, bare CATs are the way to go - at least for me.

I agree. I was having video corruption especially with 2.0b shader. When I uninstalled CCC, everything was running better than fine.

I also noticed that CCC should be installed as one package separate from the bare drivers, meaning don't install CCC over the bare 4.10s.

I also think, only because I've been playing around with this CCC for a week now, it is not designed to work with RivaTuner or any other overclock utility that I have tried.

Just my observations.
