New case stopped audio?

I just finished putting in my matx motherboard in a new case (microfly) and i go and plug in my headphones and mic in the back of the computer since i didnt hook up the front audio yet, and the sound doesnt appear to work. My mic apparently works though because i asked someone in ventrilo if they could hear me and if they could to put yes in their comment. My drivers said they are installed, i uninstalled them and reinstalled them and still no good. Anyone might know a cause that could be causing this?

did you re-install the jumpers?

yeah, with most onboard sound solutions you need to have the pins for front-panel audio either connected or shorted with jumpers.

so not having the front audio connected could be casuing the back audio not to work then?

Unless you put the two jumpers back on the audio header.
