Hey guys I'm rather new here, but i've been modding and such for a while now. I've got my comp info and pictures listed at http://www.clansa.org/mycomputer.htm I havent spent much time working on it, just put it together and thats what came out maby 1day total. Tell me what you guys think. Crappy camera sorry the pictures arent better... Also my keyboard mod that some of you may have been wondering about is here. http://www.clansa.org/keyboard.htm Tells you how to make the Logitech MX700 base inside your keyboard to confuse some people at a LAN. Its also a good mod for a lan because it reduces the range almost completely, if your not right there, it doesnt work! Great for lan cause you usually get interference! 2 channels within 3 feet is enough! Tell me what you guys think of the nifty KB mod. (Also the mouse still works great!)

Quite nice indeed, but the cables need messing with. Maybe you could get some LED-age and put some UV in there and get white rounded cables. That would 0wn!!

Looks alright but clean up the wires. They are going all over the place. The keyboard mod is kind of weird without better pics. Do you still use the original base to charge it?

I dont know what to do with the cables, I've tried hiding them all sorts of ways and still havent found a good one. Any ideas for cheap? Let me post some new pictures as only the first 2 on the site are the new ones. http://clansa.org/mycomputer.htm
 
just but some wire mesh, its not that expensive and looks very nice, espically if you go uv
 
Did you take those pics through a shower door or something?

I assume the mods look great, but those crappy pics really ruin it.

Good idea with mouse base though.
 
I think your the first one that reconized my mouse base. I'm going to take some good pictures this weekend with my dads 4megapixel camera. Right now im using my shitty DV camera. Great for movies! not a camera :-/ Well, Sorry I wont be posting the new pics till i get my dads cam, I also will take pics of the mouse base mod! I also spent some time working on my case wiring. I cant make it look much better cause of the wires im using and the way things are setup. I dont feel like re-doing my whole case so it looks better. It still impresses the kids with dells that I know. :p

Answer to earlier question: Yes the origional mouse base is still around just for charging it. But at a lan, you dont charge. Who has the time!? Just bring a couple sets of alkalines with you and your fine!

To earlier post: My bad I didnt look up that its RF unstead of IR in the book. I'm not that dedicated. Just felt like getting it off my desk and IR seemed logical.
 
Just mod the charger into the keyboard as well. How hard could it be? You're already 75% there anways.
 
this brings on an idea I've seen about recharging laptops. Make a mousepad that can recharge my mx700. GoGGOOOOGO!

a pad like those ones you can breath on and it slides and give that sucka some juice..
