Hello gents,

I am in need of a new case for my upcoming build. I'll be going with air cooling the 3930k, so space for water cooling won't be of concern. What I am looking for is preferably the best of both worlds, excellent air cooling ability and lowest noise levels possible. This pc will reside in my study/office room, approx 3-4 feet away from me.

I am looking for a mid tower case, although a smaller full atx may also be ok, and have a budget of around 200. I need enough space for 1 bluray/ dvd, 4 hdds, and 2 ssds.

I just built a new rig and used the below CM Storm Enforcer. Controlling the airflow of the front included 200mm intake, included rear 120mm exhaust, & and optional top 200mm exhaust fan with the below NZXT Sentry mesh fan controller.

Great airflow with this case and ample room to meet your stated objectives.

I did switch out the rear included CM 120mm exhaust fan with the AeroCool Red Devil Edition below:

Newegg is Out of Stock on this fine fan:

Regards whatever your decision, ;)

Thanks for the comprehensive suggestion Silverfox1. I like the combo and the price is definitely a plus. If it's also quiet, good choice all-around.

Corsair 600t or 650D both fall under the price range that you have set for yourself. I have no complaints about my 750d and its about 2ft from my head.

BTW my CPU temps using Aida64 is consistently running 29-31 C with this Storm Enforcer case and the three fans & using the CM Hyper 212 EVO on the i7-2600k processor. Inside ambient room temp around 75 F. [Used Tuniq 2 compound]

Regards, ;)

If you're going for Air with that cpu i suggest going for something like a raven 02 or if that's too big then go for the raven 03. The latter cools a bit less then the 02 but still very good.

I'm running a 3930k@4.5 with 1.32v cooled by a D14 and i'm seeing load temps below 70C most of the time with an ambient of 20.5C and a case temp of 23C.

Also keeps my 7970@1250/1575 with an accelero at 36C core and 47C vrm under load, took a bit of hacking to get it to fit but works great and is very quiet!
