new cards out

nvidia released the 7 Series. 7800 GTX is the top dog currently and the 7800 GT follows a close second. do a google search for reviews. ATi are no where to be found :rolleyes:

BTW, the

7800Ultra *assumption* > ATI.......Nothing
7800GTX w/ price & availability > ATI .......Nothing
6800Ultra w/ price & availability > X850XT PE

No ATi is not dead, just hiding in their labs.

The 7800GT might be alittle more expensive due to it's release date. It was just released, while the GTX has been out for quite some time ( and available when released :eek: ). Wait a couple weeks and the GT will drop significantly. Pigs will bet on it.

ATI's X800 GT is a new card as well.
It is not super cool or anything.
They took graphics cards that they could not use for X850's (and others) and called them X800 GT's.

theres always something coming soon in the graphics card business. however this generation has a twist to it. ati has yet to release their product lineup. who know it could be another 9700 pro *beats the crap out of the 7800 GTX* or it could be a complete flop ala nv30.
 
the 7800gtx was released on june 21st, its august 17th dude. thats more than a " freaking month ". its " Two freakin' months " !!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought ATIs crossfire was supposed to go retail next month? Plus, their R520 or whatever its called now.

No, I think there might be a few in the retail channel by the time the trick or treaters are out. Maybe ATI should relase the card on a pumpkin orange PCB? :p
Of course, if ATI should release an AGP version of the card, they'll be my new heroes.
 
The x800gt was not made to compete with the 6800gt, the x800xl is. The x800gt is made to cut in to the 6600GT's sales.
