I need to replace my sister's video card, and I originally had a 9800 Pro in her machine. I want newer technology I was thinking about a 6600GT or something similar. Perhaps someone wouldn't mind telling me what would be a good ATi equivalent of a 6600GT?

Also who is the best manufacture for 6600 cards?
 
If you want an equivalent, or close to, ATI card go with the X700 pro. Try out Sapphires X700pro...

X700XT is comparable to 6600GT, but the X700 is not available in AGP yet. And no, the 6600GT is not a considerable upgrade from the 9800Pro. In face, the 9800 will still outperform in high-res, high-IQ setups due to its advantage in memory bandwidth. Don't even think of anything less than a 6800GT as an upgrade, unless you want to gamble with modding a 6800 vanilla (or *gasp* LE!)
