My old dual core computer is almost on the brink. I would very much appreciate anyone's guidance or suggestions on this. If you think I can get by with less of anything, please let me know. Thanks!

Due to your budget, you should not be looking at an AMD setup at all since you're gonna get a better bang for your buck with Intel at that price range. Not to mention that even if you wanted an AMD setup, that AMD parts you chose are price so high that you've negated the one big advantage of an AMD setup: good price to performance ratio below $150 each for the the motherboard and CPU. And please don't factor in rebates around this subforum as they're not guaranteed discounts.

In any case, too many issues with that build. So here's another one:

Why not the xfx card? The ram you choose is 1333. is it because of compatible to motherboard? I choose the ram because of low cl and voltage. is there a difference?

That XFX card has quite a few bad reviews on it on Newegg.com. However if you're willing to ignore them or just take them with a grain of salt, go for the XFX card then.

As for the RAM, there's no difference between your DD3 1600 RAM and my DDR3 1333 in real world performance or CPU overclocking capability. So no reason to spend the extra $60 unless you really really really love synthetic benchmarks
