Hi,

So i recently bought parts for a new build and I am currently using:

PSU: Antec Trupower 430
Memory: 2 x 2 GB DDR2 OCZ Memory
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz Socket AM2+
MOBO: ECS A780GM-A Ultra AM2+/AM3 AMD 780G HDMI ATX
Vid: ASUS EAH4870 DK/HTDI/1GD5 Radeon HD 4870 1GB

After i assembled things together today and when I go to boot it, everything starts up. The bios beep triggers and everything seems to run as normal. However, there is video signal to my monitor!

I took out my Vid card, put in my old Gforce 7600 and still the same problem. Since my mobo has integrated vid, i took out my video completely and used the integrated slot and same problem. And this is where I am stuck....can you guys help me out? Thanks

how many beeps is it giving you? it might be trying to tell you something. i would check all of your connections, re-seat your memory, do a little NES dance and try again.

No beeps at all. It would seem like a regular boot up but without any video

Update:

Im narrowing it down to potentially the PSU. I just purchased a new 700W OCZ PSU to alleviate the situation. What do you think?

Which version of the TruPower PSU were you using? Versions 1.0 and 2.0 are essentially garbage.

Which specific OCZ PSU did you buy?

I'm not sure which version but is very old, ~2004 so im assuming version 1 perhaps.

and i bought the OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ700MXSP 700W ATX12V V2.2

2004 is probably v2.0.
... However, there is video signal to my monitor! ...

So what's the problem? :p

Oh! you meant there is NO video signal... ok...

Eh, you could have chosen a better PSU for the money, but it'll do. Try it and see if that helps.

It was on sale on Newegg but most reviews I've read said it was decent..

Would a lack of power to my mobo be a potential cause or am I just shooting in the dark here?

Can you at least go into the BIOS settings as it boots? If you can, try set settings to default and see what happens.
