Ok when I finally get my Cpu (still waiting for venice) is there an special steps or tests I should do to make sure everything runs ok.

Thanks

just get it installed, install windows, then loop prime95 at stock speeds for a night, that'll expose any weakness.

... any CPU or maybe RAM weakness. You should run a fuller battery of tests, including but not limited to:

- Prime95 for a night in Torture Test
- SiSoft Sandra Stress Test
- 3DMark 2003 or 2005
- MemTest86

.. also, check your voltages and make sure they are close to their designations. 3.3v should not be above 3.4 or below 3.2, 5.0v should not be below 4.9 or above 5.1, and 12v should be above 11.7v and below 12.4v. Also, make sure your temperatures are within spec. Usually, anything below 70C at load is OK, but if it's an Athlon 64 machine it should run much cooler-- around 35C idle / 40-something load, or a bit lower perhaps. You can check Voltages and Temperatures with SpeedFan or the nTune utility from nVidia, or the system utilities your motherboard manufacturer probably includes on the CD.
