New build problems

I recently assembled my first computer. I have posted in some of the
other sections of the forums here and have yet to receive a solution to my
problem so I decided to post here and see if someone might be able to help
me. Here are the specs:

P5N-E SLI
E6400 Stock
Zalman 9500
XClio Greatpower 550W PSU
EVGA Superclocked 8800 GTS 320mb
OCZ 2GB Platinum DDR2 800
Lite-On 20x DVD-RW SATA
Soundblaster Audigy SE
Windows Vista Home Premium
LIAN LI PC-60BPLUSII W Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Case

The first thing that I did was to install Vista and then download the
various drivers. After that I had been eager to try out the new graphics
card and see how it performed. I installed WoW and the new expansion
pack. The computer is running on a Dell 20" flat-panel so I set the
resolution to 1600x1200 with no AA or AF. The game was unplayable.
Framerates are okay while moving in one direction, however when I attempt
to move the camera the game basically freezes. I have tried everything to
correct the problem that I can think of. Even at 1280x1024 framerates are
still in the 20s the majority of the time.

Is this a problem of the video card not being able to run well in vista
because of the current drivers or is it because this is the 320mb version?
Or is it something entirely different? I don't know what else to try but
on the nvidia forums there are people getting great framerates with recent
driver editions. I can use the step up program and get the 640mb version
for a couple bucks, will this help fix the gaming problems? Any help that
you can provide is appreciated. Thanks.
