new build..no power

Just built my gaming rig last night and cannot power up. I made the mistake of installing everything in the case before trying a "soft" boot to see if components were working properly. So i laid the mobo,cpu/hsf,gpu,and ram with psu connected on mobo box and still cannot get a SB PWR light to come on or a boot. Any help would be appreciated.

Components-
asus p8z77-v pro
intel 3570k
asus gtx 680
gskill ripjaws 2x4gb
corsair hx850
 
Do the power supply paper clip test. Corsair has a video on youtube showing you how to do it.
 
ok so i tried the paperclip test green wire to a black wire and nothing happened. so should i start with an RMA of the psu and go from there?
 
Yes, if you couldn't power up anything when using the paperclip test. You should be able to hook up a fan easily enough to test for power.
