I built a new gaming rig, Gigabyte Z170N-Gaming 5, 6700k overclocked to 4.6Ghz, and 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000Mhz, two Samsung SSD's (One 950 m.2, one 840). It's all inside an mITX NCASE M1, not much airflow.
Video card is and CPU are working flawlessly overclocked. But I noticed my Firestrike physics scores were low. I kept trying to figure out if it was the CPU, but I ran Geekbench and my memory performance numbers are way too low, in the 2,000 range, when similar systems are scoring over 5,000.
Ram is running XMP profile at 3,000Mhz with the correct timings. HWMonitor and CPU-Z show the ram running at the correct settings. This is a fresh install of Windows 10, and I just reinstalled it just in case. I have tried resetting BIOS to defaults, no joy.
Any ideas?
