1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming, school work, web browsing, listening to music, pictures, movies
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
No set budget, just want the best all around bang for my buck in all categories! Preferably $1,000 or less....
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Charlotte, NC
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU, motherboard, ram, case, graphics card, optical drive, hard drive, power supply...ultimately everything starting from scratch. Also need keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Also need a wireless card.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Not reusing any parts, this will be a fresh build.
6) Will you be overclocking?
Definitely not.
7) 7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
Don't have a monitor yet, I'm assuming I want 1080p though. No larger than a 23"

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
December
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video? etc.
Basic motherboard with current features. Don't need any bells and whistles at all.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
No, I will need some version of Windows.

This thread is for a buddy of mine looking to build a new PC for Christmas. He has no idea how to build a computer...but I will be helping him. Using the forums for current recommendations to get a great performing PC at an even better price!!!! Preferably $1,000 or less for everything including keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

You need to edit your post and input your answers to the sticky questions. All that I'm seeing are ***.

You should also revisit this thread around the second week of December. By then, we'll know what the December specials are (and may get a glimpse at the good Christmas deals).
