the wife has given me £240 for a new am3 board and some ram i need some advice on which board to have. i want 8gig of ram which takes £100 out of the equation these are the three boards im looking at

at the min my chip runs @3.9ghz and i dont want a drop in speed which has got me leaning to the amd chipset and not the nvidia one

cant go wrong with the msi,asus,or even gigabyte if they are available to you.....any of those boards are equal in performance....
 
I have the Crosshair III, can you spare 10 more and add that to your options? It's a really great board.
 
I've got the MSI 790FX-GD70 and I can tell you it is one awesome motherboard! Easy setup, great performance, great compatibility. It OC'd my 720BE by 600 MHz without even touching voltages.
 
MSI GD70, great board. I rate it better than my previous Asus M3A79-T
