new black editions quad,tri,dual

My phenom in dualcore stuff is about as fast as a 2.8 ghz windsor @ 2550 mhz.

10% faster.

GE-6500 = 2.1 ghz.
2.1/100*10 = 210.
2100+210=2310 mhz. in normal X2 speeds + the better memory speed.

its more than 10% i like calculating with 10% cause it looks more clean, i think its 9 OPC on X2 11 on the Phenom and 12 on the c2d ? i cant remember.. anywayz, theese looks cool if they are @ 2.6+++ and @ 65 Watt @ 3 ghz.!

Athlon X2 6500 Black Edition 95W $105 just might be my next CPU. And if it is 3.4ghz even if you don't overclock it it will rock!

I've got a X2 6400 right now but if the X2 6500 is about the same clock speed but lower power consumption and heat I'm jumping all over it. My X2 6400 is plenty fast for me - it's the heat this thing puts out I'd like to fix...

Anyone hear for sure what the clock speed is going to be on the X2 6500 BE?

Unlocked Kuma listed for €88
Athlon X2 6500 Black Edition
AMD seems bent on rolling out its Kuma dual core, come hell or high water. We found yet another 65nm part listed on geizhals.eu. This time around it's unlocked, and it's not a Phenom, but rather an Athlon X2.

Considering AMD's less than stellar Phenom track record, it might not be a bad idea to keep pushing the Athlon brand just a bit more. Branded as the AMD Athlon X2 6500 Black Edition, this 65nm B3 stepping part has a 95W TDP, it's clocked at 2.3GHz and priced at €88. For comparison, the Windsor 6400 Black Edition runs at 3.2GHz and costs €115.
