New Asus cards.

Support still sucks for the Pheobus. No matter how you look at it though.

Well the big announcement I got out of it was that the Solo was going to share the same driver as the original, and that there was going to be a new driver to be released when it comes out. That's what prompted me to post this really, but I figured some guys would like to see something new from Asus also.

It is indeed nice to see something new. The u7 looks interesting. But as owning a Pheobus since it come out and only seeing about 3 drivers come out, which is still in beta. Just doesn't grab my attention now. Now they want to drop the breakout box, which is fine as I didn't like mine and never used it. I honestly just wished Asus would start doing drivers more often. When you label something 'ROG" and it just doesn't have support. There is something really wrong there. But I will not post in here again as I don't want to derail it. Sorry for posting my thoughts and opinions on it.

True on all counts, although most usb DACs don't need drivers to start with. One of the perks :)

Not derailing to post your experiences with the card. Only makes the manufacturer work harder to live up to customer expectations. I refuse to disable protected audio on my PC so that the original Phoebus can work with Win 8 64 better. I just tell anyone that asks that the Phoebus isn't compatible with XBOX music as 99.9% of the population has zero interest in editing the registry and disabling Protected Mode. Hopefully this new driver finally allows me to stream audio from Microsoft without disabling features of my OS. That's all I can hope for.

Dont know if i'll go with this or Asus's new PCI SSD? Either way im liking the new stuff Asus is coming out with
