Well i did it i grab a new swiftech appex cooling system today and got a great price on it too $239 shipped :p now what i need to know is what should i change if anything like maybe different hose maybe Tygon ? and for coolent should i use the additive they send with it ? i want to do this right and only want to do it 1 time lol and i have been using Artic silver 5 i see alot use ceramic is this better for water cooling ? can use any help from you Guru's Thanks........... Moto.......... :D

Both ceramique and AS5 are great. I personally use AS5 on my system, and it works fine. The hose in the Apex kit should be fine, and if you need some new hose, buy MasterKleer from McMaster (7/16" ID). Should run you less than $.50 / foot, simply because it's not food rated like Tygon is.

AS5 is better. Ceramique is just less conductive. I always use AS5.

I wouldn't use Tygon tubing. I got the Swiftech Apex kit as well, and the tygo tubing doesn't agree with the radiator. It was not creating a good seal, causing it to leak everywhere. I plugged the stuff that it came with in, and it worked great.

So I ended up wasting all this money on the expensive Tygon stuff :(

Did you put hose clamps on the tygon?
The 7/16" tubing in the apex kit will seal well to the 1/2" barbs without hose clamps (Though it's still a good idea to use them), while 1/2" tubing pretty much needs hose clamps.

Did any of you mount the pump with rubber or anything to keep the noise down or vibrations ? Mine is now shipped these guys are fast i ordered it today before work, i have bought stuff from them before and I have never had better service from any online site, if i e-mail them within 5 mins or less i have an anwser, simply the best service from any online dealer.

who did you order from?

I ordered from www.heatsinkfactory.com I have ordered from them in the past too and allways FAST, if i e-mail them in 5 mins or so i have a reply, these guys are the best i have found for service :D I e-mailed them last friday to see when these would be back in stock he thought monday but was not sure, so today i logged on to their site and it was back up on the site, i ordered it and within 30 mins he sent me an e-mail that i beat him to it, lol he said he would let me know the day it came in and i was just too fast for him :) i checked it before work @ 5 am, so he never had a chance to get back to me.
Prices are not bad, Service is EXCELLENT.

That's cool, I was originally going to get the Apex kit but I purchased a Storm and a Maze 4 already. Have decided to piece together the rest from Danger Den and Jab-Tech

I was going to go that way too, but for the price i got this for I could not turn it away. i have not got a gpu block yet, i dont know if im going to add another video card in SLI yet so i did not want to buy one until i know what im going to add, but i can't wait to Overclock my 148 some more :D I need to up the volts but on air it just was getting too hot for me.I wish they still had the Storm in the appex, but hey if i dont like this one i can allways get the storm, but man the price went up on them i can buy 2 of these now for what they want.

I constantly browse the FS/FT forum. Picked up the Storm NIB for $70 shipped. Just have to keep your eyes open.

My Apex, which is being shipped to me right now, I got for 190 off of ebay, with one of those random billet inline cooler thing with it too.
