a friend of mine who works for best buy,he told me he saw a new neopower with 500 watts SLI and Dual core ready. With a price tag of 150$ and 84$ for employees. if this is true, i might sell my neopower and get this one.

i cant find it on antec site either or BB.com

was he wrong or is it really out?

I am pretty sure antec just did a small revision of the Neo power, now it has sleeved cables. I don't see why they would only add 20 watts. I'd think they would make a 550 or 600 neo.

I could be wrong here, but it doesn't sound right to me.

i think i might pick one up on monday or let my friend send me pics once he gets one.

It wasn't a NeoPower. It was a SmartPower 2.0, which is also modular.. but it comes in a 500W instead of a 480W.

Now that we've cleared that up.... What makes a power supply "dual core ready." I have to admit I haven't heard that term before... other than motherboards, of course.

Oooooooooooooooo kay. That's what I was thinking.

Really, though?

Have they gotten so low that they're now labeling PSU's as "dual core ready?"

How sad. :(

Yeah.. well, "P4 Ready" just used to mean it had the 2x2 connector. "SLI Ready" means it has two PCI-e connectors. Never saw A64 Ready. But Dual Core Ready means nothing. Nothing at all. You don't need any special connectors.. nothing! It's totally bogus!

So.... & your point is? It is all advertising! :D

Nope, I believe there are some new Antec PSs coming out. :D

I said I 'believe'. Trying to confirm. If I get an answer I'll post.

i wanna see some reviews on them and pics of how the sleeved cables look.
