Is anyone else hoping that they have all or most of their shaders?

These could be folding holy gails

They are cheap too. It will be interesting to see how they do when they hit the streets.

Something just doesn't seem right about the pricing. Seems too cheap. Time will tell.

However, if they do have massive shader counts, I'll be seriously looking at a few of them for my folding garden.

That 4670 could be a mean folder for the money if it doesnt lose too many SPs from the 4870. I still have one empty graphics slot!:D

DDR2? Isn't DDR3 standard on all new cards? Any particular reason why they are stepping backwards?

Because they can make really cheap cards with DDR2. Also because the cheaper GPUs aren't powerful enough to take advantage of lots of high speed RAM making it a moot point.

Best I can figure the 4670 should get ~ 1600+ ppd.

They way I figured a 3650 has 120 stream procs and gets 600 ppd.

The 4670 has 320 stream procs.

600 x 2.7 = 1620

Now we can probably add in some extra points for a faster card.

I'm thinking It will be a sub 2k ppd card.

Even with the point downtick the 8800GS is still a bit better
