I still have to futz with the brightness settings a bit but no need to rename exe or use Radeon Pro to force alt profile for crossfire. Plus I get much better multi core utilization, from like 50% to 70%

enjoy

I just kind of randomly found this and cant find it under Rage 3D Catalyst App Profiles page...odd.

evidently, this is only for the Steam version. shouldn't get anyone's hopes up if they bought retail or EADM

People still go out of the house? Weird.

My bad...but as of now there is a new AMD profile dated 3/31/11 on the AMD driver web site...I guess this is for everyone.

Strange for us Steam users to get an update first...huh.

Don't know if this works for others, but when I turn vsync on, it gets rid of the flickering! I have the retail copy, btw.

Thanks for this link, I will try this out later today. Was getting annoyed that i had to turn off my dual gpu setup in order to play this game. Despite being a pile of crap I want to at least finish it.

Didn't fix it for me. Reduced it a lot but it's still there, also added the same small amount of flickering to other games. Also killed the frame rate.

Did you try starting the game then exiting to menu then adjusting the brightness and make sure v-sync is on(Just like Addicted stated)....the update only works for me when I do this...lame AMD, lame, but it is what it is...

Ok, the flickering is still there. It's definitely reduced and in some cases, barely noticeable, but it's not completely fixed if you enable vsync. I guess I'll just hold off on playing the game, as it just isn't worth playing with these problems right now.
