Just put this together, runs sweet

Chaintech NF3250
A64 3200+ Clawhammer
2 x 512 3200 OCZ EL rev 2
6800 GT
AGP 8X is active
No service packs, clean install of WinXP Pro
I am using latest Nforce drivers 5.10
" " Vid drivers 67.02
Direct X 9C

I am only getting around 20K?!?!

I figured 28K or so

Any kind of suggestions or?!?!
settings in BIOS or what the $^%&?!!!

most likely your board set the ram's cmd to 2t. along with some other things. if you want top performance, you're gonna need to know your system and how to fine tune it. ;)

(btw: 3dmark'1 csres mean nothing to me. give us some memory bandwidth numbers, maybe a superpi time and a 3dmark'05 run)

you should be getting around 21k or so... those drivers are WAY old and i would reccommend updating to the whql 66.93's. 28k isn't very possible with the 6800gt.

yeo that score is about right, this generation of nvidias will perform much better in things like 2k3 and 2k5

You'll need to get a CPU speed of about 2.5 - 2.6 gHz and some high memory speeds to get that rig to 28k in 3dmark01.. not to forget also OC'ing the graphics card to get those Nature scores up.

lol i haven't run 3dmark01 in ages.. why dont u try 3dmark03? it supports DX8.

no seriously try 3dmark05.

Ok I'm going to try not to flame and just explain, 3dmark 2001 is the best benchmark for all around multimedia (both processor and video card, memory ), 3dmark2003 and 3dmark 2005 are 99.99% video card tests.

I don't know guys, that seems a bit low in '01

With the system in my sig, I overclocked the vid card to 370core and 330mem and bumped my proc's FSB to 220 and I'm hitting 21,000. You have Dual Channel and I have single channel. Maybe make sure your board is running Dual Channel DIMMs?

I think you should look around for some guides, maybe update bios with a better one and tweak it?

I think you should be getting a much higher score.

The 6800 cards just aren't as good as the x800's in 3dmark01. I get 24k with my current system... if I really try hard to tweak it I'm sure I could dish out 25k but I really don't care. I nearly broke 22k with my old 9500->9700 card, but its not even close compared to overall gaming performance as my 6800U, even know the scores aren't that far from each other. A x800XT PE would probably put me 2000-3000 points higher but it doesn't really matter.
