I just got my new 5870, upgrading from a 8800GTS 640mb. This is my first ATI card since the x800xl and CCC has changed a lot.

Can some please link an article or explain the AA and AF functions of the 5870. I have no clue what type of AA and AF I should be using. I have tried searching but found nothing. So far the 5870 is impressive, I can finally max Crysis @ 1680x1050 :)

The AA/AF work the same way as on Nvidia. Instead of CSAA, you now have Edge-Detect AA(which multiplies the benefits of selected AA power x3). Adaptive AA is the option to apply AA on transparent textures. AF is exactly the same as your used to. I would avoid Super-Sampling unless you're playing an old DX9 game, as it takes a large amount of power.

Ok, so under the AA option I have Box, Wide Tent, Narrow Tent, and Edge Detect. What should I be using there. Also how do I make supe I am not using Super-Sampling?

Box is normal, standard AA. Wide and Narrow tents are useless, as they tend to blur the image too much. Edge Detect is only to be used when you have a lot of shader power to spare. If not, it'll kill FPS. Unless you turned on Super Sampling, don't worry about, as it's not enabled by default.
