New Results with Overclocking.
Bclk at 185- anything higher is unstable :(
Extreme Mode Enabled

3.885 ghz on load

1st result - stock speeds gtx260 192 version. I have raised the core/shader/memory but not to the limit.

Do I have to keep the shader linked to the gpu core? I know I can push the core further but my shader has problems above 1580. Memory has problems above 1280. No volt modding.

This is on ONE gtx260 so not too bad. I have another gtx260 but it is showing some artifacts on bootup. I think thermal paste might be shorting a contact. Just scrubbed it down with alcohol.. will let it set for a few days.

No. you don't have to keep them linked. Most people always have them unlinked so they can adjust the shader clock to their liking :)

correct.. but you do not wait to raise the gpu higher then what the gpu speed would be at if it was linked with that specific shader clock.. otherwise you will get some weird results or lagging..

a good example is my 8800GT at 1890mhz on the shader linked my gpu speed would be 756mhz.. but i can go as high as 790mhz completely stable with any stability test.. but in games my frame rate is far to inconsistent bouncing around from 40-60fps.. yet if i set my gpu to 756 it will sit a constant 60fps in every game..
