New 23'' Wide LCDs comming?

Hi all,

I have been following the LCD press releases, reviews and forums for the last 4 months in anticipation of buying all new components for my next PC. I am set on 23 inches for a wide LCD monitor. I am about to purchase an HP L2335.

Are there any 23 inch monitors slated for release in the near future (dec->jan)?

ViewSonic has a 20' wide VX serious to release, NEX has a 20' wide WMX2 and (unofficial) rummoros of a dell rollout of next year LCD products between jan and feb of their 20 & 24inch lcds. But no 23''.

Maybe it's time to take the leap.
 
To be honest, you can do this with every PC component out there. If you wait for the next big thing, then when that comes out, then you'll be waiting for the next big thing after that. You evenutally HAVE to buy something or you never have a computer at all...just a shopping cart on newegg full of obsolete components that are waiting to be replaced...

I say just go for it!

Well that is true, the reason I'm thinking of waiting is because I will be away from my computer from Dec 16th till Jan 16th. The only benefit to buying now is to use the new comp before then. Also, makers seem to release bunches of products during the holidays.

that is true, but ANY smart buyer would do that.

He is asking if something is about to come out. Thats like going to buy an ipod, but before you do, you ask on a message board, and they say "hey a video ipod is gonna come next week"
Wouldn't it be smart to wait so he doesn't get the shaft?

Its smart to wait if its close and the next thing is going to be on a higher "plateau".

Viewsonic are bringing out their new 23" display - the vp2330wb. It's not on their site as yet, but should be shortly. It has 8ms response time (g-to-g).
