Neverwinter Nights

Yes. I am currently playing the Shadows of Undretide pack with my brother and his son (8 yr. old) and having a blast. We are going to work our way through all the major adventures and then maybe try those premium downloadables later.

Yep, still play. 14 rogue/1 fighter currently (uber in the OC).

You're in for a surprise with Hordes of the Underdark, which isn't multiplayer friendly. Yeah, that's right. The never playtested it MP.

Me and a friend managed to complete it, but that was after NUMEROUS crashes. Specifically transfers between chapters didn't work at all, and longer scripted events would either only run at one player, or crash.

So everyone not hosting has to leave at key moments and let the server player complete a section by himself, and then message off-line when it's okay to join again.

I couldn't believe it, but it's true.

Idiots.

Im sure you have already found this, but it is the souce for free user made adventures. They are ranked and some are really amazing.

HIGHLY reccomended. I have a number of modules that we run on a dedicated server at LANs that get played regularly. The CEP (community Expansion pack) is a must have, really adds to it.

I bought the game and one expansion pack, then picked up the Platinum pack so my daughter and I could play online with our own keys. Worth every penny.

Peace,
Tim

I should track down a platinum pack copy so that I can play this again. I lost one of my disks. Oh well.

I dug out the discs not too long ago, but I couldn't find the cd key. I had forgotten that those idiots printed it on the inside of the manual. And I have no idea where it is :( .

Just bought the platinum DVD edition because I never got past the beginning of chapter two years ago. Was too busy then. Not much has changed... :(

I still play it, just finish HoU (my third time) just two weeks ago. It's still fun the thing is that I still play a fighter for all of repeats. I should be a mage or something else the next time I play. But my brother wants to play it now, so I am gonna try and give Divine Divinity a try...

so i have the game and all the add-ons, but i stopped playing cuz my computer can never find any servers. if i manually join one, it works, but it can't see any servers when it searches, any ideas?

i also just picked up this game again about a month ago. Been having D&D withdraw eversince our groups best DM moved away.

All you have to do is look at all the multiplayer servers to know this game is still alive. Don't play it myself, but tons of people still do.

I still believe that it's nice to store the CD key somewhere more closely attached to the media, like the CD box. (On the disks themselves would be fine, but that's less practical to print, I guess.)

I just got the platinum version. Am installing now. I remeber loving this game, so I'm excited to give it a try again.

Same exact problem here... :(

neverwinter nights is too boring...i bought the collectors edition - hoping for the best but only finished the first game about a year later...thought i'd give the second one a try but ran out of steam 1/4 of the way...it just wasn't that good. - -- - Way too slow for me.

Are there any mods that improve the graphics? Something along the line of the texture packs for ES3: Morrowind? Or maybe upgraded models? Do any of the expansions and premium mods add things like voiceovers or enhanced graphics?

I downloaded the demo last night and was shocked at how much it has in common with the KotOR series. I was intimidated by all the feats and skills until I read their descriptions and remembered a lot of them from KotOR. Are the skills and feats from NWN and KotOR mostly the same, as in could I use the same guidlines for building a character?

Also how much varience is there in what you do? Are all the quests just slogging through a dungeon until you get to a boss or are there some different objectives?

I am just looking for a game to play as Guild Wars is getting very repetitive and there is nothing interesting for at least another month.

I am the server and web admin for a PW that has been around for a couple years. We took a several month break when WoW came out, but we got our WoW fix and are back working full time on our PW. We have a very strong core group of players and are looking for some new folks to come join us. If you are interested in learning more about it, check out the website:

If there is let me know...

I never got passed the first chapter when I played it a year or two ago. I just picked up the platinum version hoping to have a RPG to hold me over till Oblivion. The game is fun and I like the depth but why...why...why are accessories like boots, gloves, bracers, etc shown on the character? It just seems like such an oversight. Get some cool gloves and you don't get to see them on your character...lame-sauce
