Hi Guys,

Now, I know nothing about networking, I am purely on the systems side of things.

I've setup my own home lab, I have a NAS drive and my white box connected to my home router. Speeds are crap and make it impossible to work.

Can someone recommend a decent ADSL2 compliant router that speed things up for me?

Thanks

Without knowing what equipment you currently have it's kinda hard to make any recommendations on where to go. Makes/models for the components in question would be good to know.

It sounds like its your internal network speed such as copying to and from your NAS that is the issue and not your internet. Is your router 10 or 100Mbit? If so a simple 1Gbit switch would make a huge difference, just plug the switch into your router and everything else into the switch. This of course assumes your other devices are all gigabit.
