Networking issue, Vista 64 doesn't like to play nice with XP 32?

So I found that when I connect my new desktop running Vista 64 bit via ethernet cable to the new Bell DSL 2Wire router/modem it works fine. It also works fine when I connect my XP 32 bit laptops via wifi and ethernet. As soon as I mix them, the speed gets cut by about 90%. I think it's a compatibility issue, but noone knows. They all played nicely together on my Microsoft MN700 router when I had cable internet 2 weeks ago.

Anyone ever heard of such an issue?

Odd, I have Vista x64, Vista 32bit, XP 32bit, and Windows 2000 sever all mixed without an issue at home.

This has been a problem since the begining with Vista and Gigabit (not the audio issue either). SP1 is much better for network transfers but Vista overall has terribly slow network performance.
