Hey all,

My sister has a HP Photosmart 8450 Printer that she wants to be wireless. Its a pretty nice printer. I'm sure she spent an arm and a leg when she bought it. Unfortunately it only has USB connectivity. She uses an apple laptop and I think she owns a PC running XP.

I'm not seeing an easy way to network this printer without loosing some functionality. Any input would be appreciated.

does her Wireless router support USB devices?
if not, get a USB/network print server.
they run approx $30.

says here that it has ethernet.... If it does then just plug it into her wireless router.

The printer has built in ethernet, which is supported on the Macintosh. Ethernet connectivity for Macintosh OS X requires version 10.2.4 and higher. The printer is supported in a wireless network using the HP Jetdirect 380x or using the USB connection to an Apple Airport base-station. The optional Bluetooth (wireless) adapter only works for Windows and is not supported by the Macintosh.
