Networked printer won't print

If I log into my Linux server (Slackware 12.1) I can print fine. I have a CUPS printer shared with samba. It has printed in the past with the exact same setup. So, I am convinced that the problem is not on the server side. The only thing that contradicts this assumption is the fact that it stalls when I goto printers > modify printer > then when it gets to the "Make/Manufacturer" page and I select HP and click "continue" it stalls.

But from my windows machine, when I click print it says, "preparing..." then the pop up disappears and nothing happens. The print job does not show in the printer explorer.

Also, in printer properties > ports > there are no ports selected and I can't select one. Although, I'm not sure I'm supposed to be able to do that anyway. Just thought I'd mention it.

If I connect the printer directly then it prints fine. Makes me wonder why I'm even bothering, but whatever....

This shows up in my CUPS error log:

It shows those over and over again.

The printer is an HP D5160 Photosmart printer.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue?
