Hey All I'm here with a rather simple (I hope) question about networking I currently have a belkin G wireless router the wireless works fine downstairs but upstairs i get nothing, after careful testing I have found that it has to do with some material in either the paint or the walls that attenuates my signal. So my plan was to rig up a wireless repeater I have another belkin wireless g router that I bought used a while back it works fine except the WAN port is dead.
What I would like to do is configure my second wireless router to relay the signal from the first one. both routers do have the bridge wireless function but the function basically implies another router can connect to the device not that the device can be connected to another router. Is what i am asking can i force my router to act as a wireless range extender and relay that signal into the upstairs in my house? there is one place upstairs I always get a good signal and figured I would just stick it there.
