Basically what I am trying to do is get my friends computer to show up on my network, or so he can see mine. So we can transfer files and stuff. Does anyone know of any software that will allow this or another method?

yea i thought about that at first. but i just thought it would be really nice if we could just go to network places and be able to see each other.
