Hello,
I'm setting up my home network, and could use advice on accessing it from the outside world.
I have 4 Machines, A, B, C, D. A is my laptop. B, C and linux boxes, D is Windows 7.
Everything is behind a little linksys router/firewall/switch.
My question is this: Should I setup the servers on each of the boxes to routed to by the router via port forwarding, or should I use one of the boxes as a dedicated entry point to the network.
My idea was this: If I mount the drives on machined C and D on B, then when I go to the the coffee shop with A, I can basically SFTP my files and what not to B, which will distribute as necessary.
I hope that made sense, it makes sense in my head. Dedicated SSH, SFTP on one server with file systems of 2 other servers mounted to it for distribution, or simply setup SSH, SFTP on all 3, and use the routers port forwarding.
Thanks
