Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
playing files over a local network is possible from any audio program. just share the directory containing the media and map it ont he other pcs. then you can have the audio software monitor the mapping for the library. i do it with Windows media player and winamp.
over the internet is different. winamp has a new feature that supposedly does this but I havent used it yet.
have a client that has speakers that play throughout her office and she is running off a 5 disc CD player, i told her that she should convert all her music to MP3s and put them on a computer then run them from the PC sound out to reciver. what i am looking for is a program that will let her play pause stop next and previous controls from her PC.
if you can go into the linux ballpark, MPD is the best solution. There are tons of clients out the for it (I have a web-based one on my ipod, can control it over wifi)
Probably the quickest way with windows is to set up remote desktop or VNC on the music player PC and have her remote in to change stuff. If she has an iPhone/iTouch and WiFi you could use iTunes and the remote app instead.
