Just curious what many of you have used to manage the machines in your network.

Obviously one of the easy ways out would be through GPO/scheduled task for defrag (and potentially disk cleanup) but i'm curious what other use, how it works, potential pricing, and so on.

I have looked at Auslogics and CCleaner network edition, but with the amount of machines we have we'd be looking at 2k for ccleaner alone and while we can swing that, it'd be interesting to know if I have better options.

Thanks guys.

We use Desktop Authority. It's pretty decent. We're on 7.x version which is old, not sure how the newest one is but my guess is it's decent/better.

We're using Diskeeper 2011 in our network. This latest release is as robust and hands free as it gets and when you add up the man-hours saved and the extended hardware life because of the software's enhanced performance features the cost would be cheap at twice the price. (Shhhhhhh)

Here's some white paper if your interested in a more technical overview.
