Interesting situation... I was hoping someone could shed some light.

Old network card was a D-Link DWL-G510 "g" card. It connects to my Netgear WGT624 v3 (108 mbps) router just fine. In fact, I've had to resort to using it right now to type this message...

New network card is a Netgear WG311T card (wireless 108 mbps). I can connect to the router, and the Netgear assistant shows that I am, indeed connected. However, I can't connect to the network, or even access the router using 192.168.1.1 (the address used by the Netgear router). The latest drivers are being used.

For what it's worth, here are the other stats of relevance:

Windows XP, SP2 (patched)
Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro (nForce3 250 GB, socket 754)

It doesn't matter which PCI slot I use; the results are the same.

Thanks in advance.

Verify your WEP key matches that of the router; if you enabled MAC filtering on the router, make sure the new MAC address is allowed; and verify the client obtains an IP address from the router.
