My brother got the combo from Best Buy this last Friday with a Netgear WGT624 wireless router and a WG511T PCMCIA card. The card is going into an older [K6-II] Compaq laptop, while he is running CAT5 from his desktop to the router.
1. The DSL modem, SBC / Yahoo, won't work unless it is attached to the hub portion of the router, as opposed to the internet access port.
2. Only 1 computer at a time is able to access the internet, they are somehow claiming the same IP address.

Anyone deal with this combitnation?
Thanks!!!

I'll be the Speedstream came from the ISP setup to:
1) Do the PPPoE login
and
2) Run in NAT mode, providing a single LAN IP address.

Look on the bottom on it, should have a yellow sticker showing the LAN IP, and the access key to log in. Under advanced settings or something...you'll see an area that has 3x choices of how it's setup...each with a good description...one of them mentions "If you're using your own router". That basically puts it in pure bridged mode (just a DSL modem)..and that's the one you want.
