Anyone got one of these?

Just wondering if they are worth the money, they seem good but not sure about the software installation you need, i would rather just have something that i can plug in and works...

Also, will it work with MAC as well as Windows?

Can anyone give me a mini review or just your views?

These are fine on an all windows network. IIRC, they only have windows software, and the mac was in development. I prefer something along the lines of smb/cifs and not a proprietary third party software. Plus it doesnt work w/my linux boxes. Toms Hardware did a review and u can check out the customer feedback on amazon

These would be fine if ur on an all windows network and only need one or two discs.
I'm lookin for something a bit more powerful w/raid5 like the Infrant ReadyNas line.

It looked really cool when I looked at it then I realized you have to use windows specific software. I have doubts about using anything THAT proprietary.

I would just go and get an linksys nslu2 which will let you plug in 2 usb disks and runs around $100 new. It will be a little more because it will need 2 usb caddies but it shares over a samba mount meaning windows/linux/mac can all see if it they can see a normal windows file share.
