Netflix and DRM problems

I just installed Vista on my computer for the first time. I have read of the problems with Vista but a friend got fed up with it because he was going to have to buy a new copy of Quick Books, so he went back to xp and gave me Vista!

Anyway, now when I want to watch a netflix movie online it says I need to reset my DRM which does no good and I have gone online and seen that this is a common problem with vista and MP11 and every "fix" whether from MS or someone else does no good.

Does anyone know of a way to get this to work? I can watch the movies if I plug in my Dsub but DVI is obviously better and I shouldn't have to do that anyway. I am not trying to watch Hi Def. even though my monitor is not HDCP. thanks

I've never had a problem watching online Netflix movies in Vista. Odd problem indeed.

what is your video card and are both it and your monitor HDCP and do you use DVI? because after doing some research it seems to be a problem for a lot of people.

I have a 8800GTS 512MB. Both it and my monitor have HDCP and I use DVI. Netflix also works fine on my friends' old laptop (no HDCP whatsoever) running Vista.

I'll hook up a monitor that doesn't have HDCP tonight and see if it still works.
