Has anyone played around with LSI / Netapp D2600 series SAS shelves as JBODs for ZFS? Specifically I've got four 1600 shelves (3.5" drive units), two of which have LSI FC RAID heads, two of which have DE1600-SAS JBOD controllers. I'd like to split off the JBOD shelves to attach directly to a host running OmniOS, ideally using third party drives. I'm curious if I'd be the first to go there or not.
