Is there a way I can send messages to other windows 7 clients on the same network as me through the command window, kind of like net send???

I would think with all the dozens of IM apps around nowadays one of them would work for you.

Googling suggests it was removed in vista - and you may be able to get a replacement client app since some of the system functionality remains. Although i dont see a messenger service in 7, so who knows if anything receives it anymore.

I've never seen it used for anything useful, only pranking people so its no wonder its been removed.
