Nested vSphere vApps in vCD ?'s

I'm currently standing up some nested vSphere environments in vCD 5.5 for labs, demos, and some product testing and while i've done this several times, there are a couple of things that are starting to become a pain because of manual intervention.

1. When vCNS create the virtual networks, when the vApp boots, how do I have it automatically set Promiscuous mode and Forged transmits instead of having to manually do it on all of my vApp networks, then having to redo it everytime I boot the lab/demo..such a pain in the a$$.

2. When I get the vApp where I want it to be, I snapshot it, and shut it down. When I reboot somtimes I can't get to some of the ESXi hosts and it doesn't make sense other than they are set to DHCP so I can manually set the static IP's for all the connectivty, mgmt, vmotion, iscsi..etc..very weird behavior.

Any insight would be appreciated!

There's a better solution. Let me see if I'm allowed to hand it out.

I'd be curious as well since we use nested labs for classroom instruction. I don't use vCD at all though.

that's only for vxlan. unfortunately, I can't hand out the solution yet - it's not ready for prime time :( Prom mode is all ya got for now.
