Every time i try to burn anything with Nero 7, 6 and Pinical Instant CD/DVD it fails. Could it be my DVD drive? I know the DVDs im using are good beacuse my friend can burn with them on his. Any ideas?
 
Try burning at a slower speed. If that doesn't work it could be your drive is bad.
 
Nero is fine. it's the only burning software I've used in the last 3-4 years. You should see if you can try the drive in another computer.

and when you say fail, what exactly does that mean? error messages and maybe an idea of exactly what you're doing.
 
It says burn fails at 8x when doing disc at once. Ill try and burn something again later if youd liek to see the log. For now Pinicals instant cd/dvd is working, just slower than normal.

That's you best bet. I haven't seen errors while/from burning media in along time.
