Nero 6.6 free + shipping costs.= not so much free...

Is this even legal? I know there is a lot of issues involved with retailers reselling software that was meant to be bundled with hardware configurations and all, so I'd be interested if anyone knows.

If this is honestly legal, and will result in a full blown legal copy of the software, I may just pick one up. Add that feeling of legitimacy to my bootleg DVDs...

AFAIK OEM is only Nero Express. You can't use NVE or the full Nero.
No Recode, No wave editor, No video editing, No backup utility.

Thanks a ton for the heads up.. I was getting worried no one else read this thread today.

It's $7, why are you bitching about the lack of features?
if you need more than just basic burning, then buy a full fledged program.

I have some Nero disks that are keyed to particular model of burner. Switch the burner, and Nero quits working. These could be a stack of $7 coasters if they're from a burner bundle.

One thing to think about is Nero give an upgrade discount of $20 on their website for this version of Nero. So cost of shipping for $20 may be worth it if you want a copy of the full endition.
