Neo4 shuts down during windows install

I just built a new system last night and everything seemed to work. I started to install Windows and it gets to the part after the first reboot when the GUI comes up and shuts down. It seems like I'm not getting enough power or there is an overheating problem.

I checked the BIOS temps after the shutdown and the CPU was @ 50 degrees and not moving up.

The specs:

MSI Neo4 Platinum
AMD64 X2 3800+
2GB Mushkin PC3200 (4x 512, running in dual channel)
EVGA 6600GT PCI-E
2 Maxtor 300GB SATA HD
400watt PSU (came with the case, Thermaltake VA3000)

The PSU and the memory came from a working AMD K8N Neo2 Platinum with an AMD64 3500+ and a 6600GT (AGP that had its own power molex)

Also, the Neo4 has a 24pin power connector where my PSU only has 20pins. I read in several forums that this shouldn't matter, but I'm a little suspicious.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi would it be possible for your to measure the 5v 12v and the 3.3v with a mulitmeter when the machine is power up? I use a thin probe to connect at the back of the power connector while the connector is still connected to the mother board under load. That is usually a safe spot for me to measure. You can also measure form a unused power molex.
 
I had this same problem when I was building the box in my sig and it turns out the problem was that the board didn't like my OCZ ram in banks 0 and 2 instead of 0 and 1(which works just fine with), but since you running a different ram setup, I don't know if this helps.
 
I would have to agree with the ABOVE post. Play with you ram a little (either It be timings, or switching of the slots game) but more then likely its just your ram playing with you.
 
Thanks for all the replies, I'll try to remove all but one of the memory sticks and see what happens. I didn't know memory problems could actually cause the system to completely shut down.
